44 Farms Steaks

Brand Identity, Collateral, Campaigns, Digital Design, Packaging

44 Farms, located in Cameron, Texas, is known for exceptional black Angus cattle breeding and their branded beef program. Ranchers seek them out for superior genetics, while chefs from coast to coast proudly tout their steaks on restaurant menus.

We were tasked with developing a system of design, packaging and advertising that would stand out and differentiate them online and in-person with a look that’s natural, sophisticated and distinctly Texan.

We first partnered with photographer Josh Blaylock to build an extensive library of product images. Photographed against natural surfaces with sharp, dramatic lighting, the images provide a strong foundation for branding initiatives.

We then designed a new e-commerce site, collaborating with multiple digital marketing partners to ensure it was fully optimized for the marketplace. One of our primary efforts involved redesigning their email marketing campaigns. With an average of 130 e-blasts designed and sent out each year, our click-through rate hit 10% in some cases, while revenue from the e-blast efforts increased by 79% in the first year of our partnership.

In addition to the digital marketing efforts, we bolstered the customer experience at their retail and fulfillment center, providing a fresh look and feel to outdoor advertising, packaging, apparel and even their shipping boxes. Every detail was carefully considered to present the brand consistently at every stage of a customer’s experience.

And finally, to support their busiest season, we developed a holiday themed gift guide that has become a true marketing and advertising workhorse, helping build excitement among longtime followers and enticing first time customers to order something special for their holiday celebrations.
